About Zoee

Come meet the humans behind Zoee.

A small team builds Zoee. A room full of coaches builds it with us. And when you write to support, one of the faces on this page writes back. All human, never a bot.

Yes, that's all of us

of our roadmap belongs to coaches.

Because we think they're the future of wellbeing.

How this started

The tool she needed wasn't for sale.

Nichole Lowe has been a certified health coach since 2011. By 2020 she was running a full practice across nine different apps that didn't talk to each other. Scheduling in one. Payments in another. Notes in a third. Her clients got a different link for every step, and her evenings went to moving information between tools that had never heard of each other.

Then one morning a client slipped through a crack between two of them. A missed message. A moment of care that never landed, because a piece of software had failed to do its one job.

She went looking for the one place that held all of it. It didn't exist, so she built it.

Zoee has been shaped by coaches ever since. Not by a roadmap committee in a room somewhere. By coaches writing in to say this part is confusing, that part gave me my Sunday back, and here is the thing I am still paying for somewhere else.

Where the coach came from

It started on a cardiac floor.

My husband Michael had a heart block. Monitors beeping in three directions, a doctor explaining that the next twenty-four hours would tell us a lot. He is fine now. Miraculously, fully fine.

But sitting next to him with my hand on his, I saw something I couldn't unsee. The system hadn't failed him all at once. It had failed him slowly, for years, treating symptoms instead of causes, while nobody asked the questions a coach asks. I walked out of that hospital knowing I was meant to be part of the bigger box, the one that catches people upstream of the cardiac floor.

That was the moment I became a coach. Long before I built Zoee.

Michael backed everything that came after, when it was an idea and a lot of unpaid evenings, and he still takes the conversations nobody else wants to have. Co-founder now. Husband the whole time. Without him, none of this would have been possible, and that is not a nice line for a website. It is just true.

Nichole
The core

The fabulous five.

That is genuinely what we call ourselves. This is the founding team, and it is small enough that nothing gets lost between departments, because there are no departments.

A coach first, a founder because of it. Wears whatever hat the day needs. Takes the headwinds. Still runs most of the demos, because a day with coaches in it is her happy place.

What we're like

Six things we're stubborn about.

Support

A human answers.

No chatbot with a first name invented by marketing. You get one of us, usually the same one, all the way through. If we haven't built the thing you're asking for, we'll say that instead of looping you.

Community

Coaches over competition.

Coaches refer clients to each other inside Zoee. We built the room for it on purpose, because the alternative, every coach alone with their own funnel, is how good coaches quietly burn out.

Product

Calm is a feature.

We say no to more than we ship. Every extra button is one more decision you have to make at the end of a long day, and you have already made enough of those for other people.

Pricing

One price, said out loud.

One plan. No tier that unlocks the good part. No platform fee taken out of money you earned. If any of that ever changes, you will hear it from us before you see it on your card.

AI

AI does the typing. People do the coaching.

AI writes the first draft of your session notes so you get your evening back. It does not sit in on the relationship, it does not talk to your clients, and it does not answer your support email.

Honesty

We'd rather be accurate than impressive.

If something is on the roadmap, we call it the roadmap. If a claim isn't certified yet, it doesn't go on the website yet. Coaches can smell an overpromise from a mile away, and they should.

The part people don't believe

There is no support persona.

Somewhere right now a chatbot is being trained to sound like it cares about your practice. That isn't us. Zoee support is a small group of people who know coaching, know your name by the second email, and will tell you honestly when something isn't built yet.

There aren't many of us, and that is the point. You will run out of new people to talk to long before we run out of patience.

Come say hi
An inbox. At 9:14am you ask whether buffer times can be set per service. At 9:42am Su from Zoee Customer Support replies: good morning, congratulations on getting the discovery call set up, yes absolutely, she will show you how in a sec, and three other coaches asked the same question this month so it is being made easier to find.
Our coach community

The biggest part of this team is out there coaching.

Nearly everything worth using in Zoee started as a message from a coach with a real practice and a real problem. That is how the product actually gets made, and it is why it fits the way it does.
